Actions of the Siouxlands Presbytery

Here is an accurate summary of the actions taken at the Siouxlands Presbytery. I will not add any commentary to the events, because if I do, I will be attacked. I will only say that the Presbytery was pretty much an unmitigated disaster. Wes White and Brian Carpenter have weighed in with their thoughts. I don’t know that I could add anything to what they’ve said.

New post over at the Happy TR! Witty commentary and insightful analysis of the morphodite presbytery meeting that happened Friday!

You can now read the committee report that TE Moon was responding to at the link below. You will also find my protest against the Presbytery saying that TE Lawrence did not teach monocovenantalism contrary to the Standards at the same post.

Wes and Brian, thank you for letting us know what is happening in your Presbytery. The more you read of these men’s views the more it becomes confusing. It helps to have someone on the inside explain what is happening. May the Lord grant you much grace and the power of His Spirit for the battle ahead. I do have a question concerning your last sentence. When you state that the Presbytery said TE Lawerence did not teach monocovenantalism contrary to the standards do you mean that he does not believe in a covenant of works as taught in the Westminster Standards? If so, did he affirm this when he was received by Siouxlands?

I found TE Moon’s words very helpful.

    Helpful in what way, David?

    >Helpful in what way, David?

In understanding why the Presbytery chose to behave as they did.
