Registered Parliamentarian

I finally passed my registered parliamentarian test this morning. It is without a doubt the single most grueling test I have ever taken in my entire life. The pool of questions is 1400, divided into 5 sections. Many of these questions seem designed to try to trick you. Fortunately, you can take the exam in parts now. I took part IV this morning as the last one.

You are well on your way to becoming a registered parliamentarian then, I must say! Congratulations in advance.

Congrats, bro! You are now an expert on getting things done with lots of people (no easy task).

Good. Now you can rewrite the BCO.

Is this something that you just decided to do on your own, for the challenge of it? I didn’t know that there was such a thing as a registered parliamentarian. I can’t imagine that this is something that the PCA (or the OPC) would require. Or do you just enjoy suffering through study and exams (heh)?

Congratulations, Lane! I’ll second Brother White’s suggestion to rewrite the BCO. Although being OPC, maybe I should be quiet .
In all seriously, all y’all… The Churches need men whon inderstand the workings of parlimentary process, as along with the various BCOs, there are a means of preserveing order, due process and can and must be used to protect the Church’s honor and integrity. If we ignore the tools at our disposal they will be used against us.
Just read the narratives leading up to the formatin of the OPC or the PCA for those lessons.
    Again, congrats, Lane!

I ordered RR on the strength of what you’ve said over the years. But for the rest of us who have not or will not any chance you might give your top 5/10 pointers to running a session meeting from all your knowledge you’ve gleaned as a parliamentarian?
