An Update

My call to Lebanon Presbyterian Church has been confirmed by my transfer exam to Palmetto Presbytery, which went through without a hitch. I am now a member of Palmetto Presbytery, and can move on to the field. We are planning on moving in early October, though this is a bit tentative, due to circumstances. Thank you for all your prayers.

Congrats, Pastor. I will pray for your transition, for the congregation you’re leaving and the one to which you’re going. God bless!

Congratulations, Lane! What a nice blessing. I pray for a smooth and profitable transition for your family and both congregations. You can sell your snow shovels, snow blower, snowmobile, tire chains, mukluks, and parka there in Dakland. You won’t find a market for them where you’re going!

    Congrats and Godspeed!

Don’t you have to be released from Souixlands first Lane? :) You can’t be a member of 2 presbyteries at one time you know…

If you haven’t been released, then you aren’t an official member of Palmetto Presbytery just yet… :)

Lane, congratulations on your new call! This is exciting news. May the Lord bless you and your family as you transition to this new field of service in the Lord’s vineyard.

Lane, congratulations! Say, if you don’t want to be bothered with the expense of moving all your books to South Carolina, I’d be happy to take them off your hands for you! What’s Christian love and fellowship all about, after all? Heh…

Yeah, Richard, I don’t think I’d even ask you to HELP me pack my books. ;-)

Lane, I remember hearing the late Roger Nicole say that, when he retired to Florida from Massachusetts (Gordon-Conwell), he took (1 think it was) 285 crates of books with him! Amazing…
