Joshua and Judges

Commentaries on these books are relatively few and far between. There are some excellent commentaries on Joshua, such as Woudstra, Hess, and Davis, and on Judges, such as Block and Davis. But it is always cause for rejoicing when we can have more help on these books. So the publication of this commentary on Joshua, and this commentary on Judges is certainly of interest to preachers and scholars.

Just a side comment. I know the late-Al Groves was working on commentary on Judges. He probably didn’t finish it, but knowing how great his theological insights were I wonder if it would be beneficial to publish what he has done even in incomplete format…

    Just a comment.

Jim Jordan’s commentary on Judges is excellent. I highly recommend it.

    Blessings,
