Having Trouble With All the Markings in BHS?

This book is in a new edition, and looks to be a very helpful addition to the library of the student of the OT. I am often amazed at how helpful the Massoretic markings are for the purposes of exegesis, even noting where the athnach falls, etc.

It’s a long time away, since they only have about 5 fascicles out right now. When Al Groves died, I think a lot of the energy died with him. It will come out, but a lot more slowly, unfortunately.

When I had OTHT II wiht Al in 2002, he made a joke in class that when the BHQ committee gathered for the very first time, the most elder there when up and made a comment: “Let us not drag out this project but work our hardest, I wantedt to be alive when the BHQ is finished.” Al then made a sad comment that unfortunatley that person passed away recently then. Now yes Al has pass away to the LORD…. memory…

Lane, why are your posts about books so…anonymous? A little more information, e.g. actual author and title instead of “the author” or “this book” would be a nice courtesy for those of us who don’t like clicking away with every post.

Well, Jedidiah, since I get gift certificates to the WTS bookstore for clicks, and not for sales, anything that would diminish the number of clicks would not be in my best interests. Despite this fact, I often do include author information.
