Another Book Recommendation

It seems like all I am doing recently on this blog is either FV stuff or book recommendations. Oh well, those topics are interesting to me right now. I just ordered a book that looks very good indeed. It claims to read Genesis 1-3 in the light of eschatology. One does need to connect the end with the beginning, after all.

    Clever Lane!

Now because I had to click on the link to see what book you were referring to, you logged a blogpartners point!!! I can’t believe that I didn’t think of that!!! ;)

But seriously, looks like a great book! I enjoy this particular author’s writing style (clear, concise, and cogent), and have enjoyed reading him on NPP and justification as well! (His article in a recent Themelios on prolegomena in N.T. Wright was very interesting and insightful). Let us know how the book turns out!

(Note: I intentionally didn’t explicitly let on to who this writer is so that others too will click the link and get you some more blogpartners points!!!)

I was going to get a book on Genesis and before I bought I read your notes on your books and it stopped me from buying it. I found one of the ones you recommended instead. Thanks for the service.

Juan, if you don’t mind my asking, what book were you going to buy?

I am going to get these.
Currid, John Genesis, Volume 1, and Volume 2.

Yes, I heartily recommend Currid. Actually my question was what books did my recommendation prevent you from buying?

Sorry about that I misread :)

Here was what I was going to get but did not.
Leupold, H.C. Exposition of Genesis, Volume 1, Volume 2.

Yes, Currid will serve you much better than Leupold. Although, if you are really interested in debunking the Documentary Hypothesis (the 4 source hypothesis of J,E,P,D), then Leupold is decent, although I would say that Mathews is better.
