The Siouxlands Presbytery Study Committee Report, Supporting Document 3

Here it is, finally: Wes White’s paper on justification and Norman Shepherd’s theology. This article was published in the Mid-America Journal of Theology, 2006. Since there is no way the paper can be debate on that web site, debate is directed to this blog.

Posted within minutes of Lane making the paper available:

Awesome paper! I agree with every word!

(Just spoofing our internet-age tendency to become instant experts and form immediate opinions on every nuance of every debate.)

I am very glad the paper is available and have printed it out so that I can give it a more careful read! Back in the day, when there was no forum for immediate public feedback and interaction, the wheat and chaff of thoughtful reflection vs. reactionary wordblasts weren’t all mixed together like they are nowadays.

Very true. Knee-jerk careless interaction seems to be the way of things nowadays. Happy reading!

    For my benefit, who’s Pdiddy?

Get with it, Lane. How else will you be able to relate to the youngsters in your congregation and remain relevant if you don’t know who rap mogul/superstar P. Diddy is (a.k.a. Puff Daddy, Sean “Puffy” Combs)?

are you sure this isn’t a reference to our good buddy ‘dpuggie’?

Thanks so much for making Wes’ paper available. As Wes may already know , he has ruffled the feathers of the great Idaho praire grouse- but then so have I, even more so than you. I would like if someone could point me to the places where Wilson claims he has specifically critiqued by name ANY of his fellow FVers. For the life of me I have never come across any of these.

  11. April 7, 2007 at 7:16 am

Oh, one more thing, when Wilson devotes the same amount of personal angst to the proposals of his wayward fellow FVers that he has to critics of the FV like Guy Waters, Scott Clark & co. and uses the same kind of distainful descriptions, i.e. WTSC is a standing embarressment- then I will debate him.

This may fulfill Gary’s request in 12, but definitely not in 13.
