I don’t know if Lane is keeping track, but thought it worth at least a moment’s pause to note that this blog is nearing its 1 millionth “hit.” Now the real question is which will come first, the 1 millionth hit, or Lane purchasing his 1 millionth book?

Hey, remember the little people who are approaching 1000 hits. It’s pretty exciting for them too.:p

Well I am pretty sure that Lane probably has already passed the one millionth book threshold. :)

Well, Jeff has stolen a little bit of my thunder. But it must have been only a few minutes ago that I passed the 1,000,000 hits mark. As to my library, I won’t deny that it is sizable. but it is nowhere near, say, Al Mohler’s library. I only have about 2500 volumes, although it is quite a bit more if you count what I have on the computer.

Ref. 3:
Speaking of your library – what is your budget for books dude? It seems like every time I turn around you are reviewing another book.
Do you need an assistant? :)

Not much else to do but read in North Dakota, right?
Just kidding :-)
Does the 1,000,000 hit win a prize or something? Shouldn’t there be a book giveaway?

Reed, given the number of hits I get, I have made deals with several publishers of Reformed books for free review copies. In addition, I advertise for the WTS bookstore, which brings in quite a nice sum to spend there. Furthermore, I have about $100 per month that I budget for books I cannot buy at WTS. So, I am acquiring at a fairly steady rate. An assistant, hmm. ;-)
G.C., I don’t have the tools to know who got the 1,000,000th hit. So, I’m afraid no giveaway. :-(

Lane,
No tool needed. I think it was me. :-)

How do you advertise for WTS?

How many books does Mohler have?

I think you should have a “greatest posts” section to commemorate this milestone!
It would also be appropriate to award the poster with the 1,000,000th hit a good theology book.

Thanks, Mark!
Scott, as I mentioned, I have no way of knowing with WordPress who the exact hit was who put it over a million.

Well, maybe then we could have a theological consolation prize for the first ten callers (posters) after the 1,000,000th hit is announced! This is outstanding.
