I was particularly helped by Venema’s article in, “The Case for Covenantal Infant Baptism.” He helped me understand the dual aspect of the covenant (which led me to Vos and Berkhof) which many fvers deny–at least in practice. Anyhow, note to self: read Marcel.

Oh…I forgot. The article in, “The Case for Covenantal Infant Baptism” by Pratt was a great apologetic againt Reformed Baptists view of Jeremiah 31. I highly recommend it!

I have to agree with you, Lane. Marcel’s book is THE best book on Infant baptism. I was at Baker the other day and found out to my delight that they still have Joachim Jeremias’ books still in print. His first one, Intfant Baptsim in the First Four Centuries, is a good book from an historical point of view. His second one is an answer to Kurt Aland’s rebuttal.

I recently picked up Murray and the 4 Views book and have read most of the Strawbridge book. Pratt has some essays available at thirdmill on Jer. 31 etc. that are excellent as well. I definitely need to get Marcel.
